|TA, 50%||20 hours per week||$2227.89||$6683.67|
TAs who work 10 hours per week or more are also eligible for remissions on their in-state fees. For 2016-17, quarterly in-state fees stand at $5,553 (this includes health insurance). After fee remissions, students employed as Teaching Assistants are only required to pay $364 per quarter. Departments will cover this amount as a courtesy if funds are available. TA fee remissions do not cover out-of-state Non-Resident Tuition.
Please Note: If you are offered a TA position and you accept, it is a confirmed commitment for employment. Leaving a TA appointment for a GSR appointment after the deadline will jeopardize future considerations.
Payroll: If you have never been on university payroll, you must fill out important payroll paperwork from the Administrative Business Office. For any payroll questions, please contact Summer Croft (for AMS, BME, and CS) or Leticia Medina-Kohrs (for CE, CM, EE, and TM). Make sure you submit your full name and email address in any correspondence.
